General English

The General English course will cover everyday English reading, writing and listening with an emphasis on speaking and practical communication in common situations, such as travelling, shopping, and leisure time. There will be support with grammar and pronunciation, and we will also introduce study skills to help you to become an efficient learner and to keep learning when you are out of the classroom.
This course is suitable for you if you would like to become a confident speaker of English and maximize your ability to use English in everyday situations. You will follow a course book, and also use a wide range of materials, including real-life listening and video examples, authentic texts and on-line resources. The content of the lessons is adapted to your needs and interests. All students have the opportunity to discuss, negotiate and plan the week’s work with their teacher and fellow students. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate stating the course you have taken and the level at which you have finished.

Young Learners’ English

Get your kid to improve their English and make new friends by enrolling them in our YLE (Young Learners’ English) courses. We concentrate on communication skills with fun discussions, games, role plays, student projects and group work. All lessons are taught in small groups to make sure every child gets individual attention from their tutor.

Business English Courses

Our Business English courses have been designed for all business professionals seeking a specialized English education with professional and experienced teachers. We offer a full range of Business English courses at our center. Individual Business English courses are also available.
Improve your business English skills with other professionals in small classes, with a maximum of five students per class. Classes are taught by highly-qualified instructors with extensive ESL experience. Whether you are the CEO, a manager, or other business professional looking to advance your career, you can choose to take a Business English course at ULC. Our Business English Course is topic based and designed to provide a flexible learning programme. The focus is on functional language in specific situations. The lessons are largely task based and are planned to extend vocabulary, improve pronunciation, provide practice and develop confidence and fluency in a lively and communicative way. The course is suitable for students who would like to be effective communicators in a variety of business contexts. Lessons are designed around a course book and provide the opportunity for students to improve the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as enhancing and increasing their active / working vocabulary and grammar knowledge. Each course is designed to give students a chance to learn English through a variety of interesting topics and themes. They will work in pairs and small groups, providing opportunities to focus on real English structures and communication, across all four skills of speaking, reading, listening, and writing.

The ULC is an excellent place for professionals to improve their English skills! We have special programs for specific industries (including Law and Medicine), as well as Business English courses that cover a variety of topics, from writing reports to making formal business presentations–even defending case studies!
